«Эрмитаж» — это ещё один памятник архитектуры XIX века, в котором когда-то размещалась гостиница. В годы Великой Отечественной войны здесь был штаб 49-й армии западного фронта, а затем штаб 2-го Белорусского фронта.
В советское время в этом здании размещался отдел народного образования и управление сельского хозяйства. В настоящее время здание пустует, но оно отлично вписывается в современный городской облик.
Кстати, возможно, что в исторический питерский «Эрмитаж» скоро вдохнут новую жизнь. Как рассказали в отделе архитектуры и строительства райисполкома, это здание выкуплено. В нём планируют разместить многофункциональный гостиничный комплекс.
